First impression: Navigation is four items wide and every tool is one click from the home view. There is no project concept, no library, no folders. What we observed: Blending is clean along the jaw and hairline, and the lighting direction from the source carries into the result rather than fighting it. The failure modes are the ones this whole category shares, and they arrive whenever something interrupts the face: a hand across the mouth, a heavy pair of sunglasses, a head turned past three-quarters, a fringe falling low. On a well-lit front-facing photo, output is good enough to post without anyone squinting at it. The key finding: Pica routes photo enhancement and old photo restoration to Artguru, a separate consumer brand built by the same developer. The interface strings behind that notice are specific about scope: enhancement, restoration, image upscaling, and a forthcoming video enhancer all sit on the other engine now. The reassurance is equally specific. One banner reads that the feature has been upgraded to Artguru and that your data and membership will be kept, and a panel item confirms account and benefits are synced. What arrived with the handoff is 8K upscaling plus blur removal. Face swap and Headshot+ stayed on Pica's own pipeline. This is two products sharing infrastructure, not one brand being retired into another.

Under the surface: Headshot+ is sold two ways, which is easy to miss. It runs off subscription credits, and it also has its own one-off packs published on the headshot page at $2.99 for four portraits or $9.99 for twenty. Restoration and enhancement now sit behind the Artguru handoff, so the marketing pages you see here describe capability that another engine delivers.
